This family-style side dish combines the freshness and crunch of sweet lettuces and bitter greens with the smokiness of the grill.
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 head Ready-Set-Serve Romaine Hearts, split
- 1 head Radicchio, split
- 3 heads Belgian endive, split
- 1/4 cup Trifoglio® extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Vinaigrette
- 1/3 cup Trifoglio extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon honey
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Katy’s Kitchen® garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Katy’s Kitchen ground black pepper
Directions
- Combine vinaigrette ingredients, and set aside.
- Brush romaine, radicchio, and endives with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place each cut-side down on a grill. Sear until grill marks appear and the surface starts to wilt.
- Remove from the grill and serve warm with garlicky house-made vinaigrette.
