Irish Soda Bread With Shamrock Farms Sour Cream

Add a festive dish to your menu this St. Patrick's Day! Shamrock Farms® Sour Cream has two added benefits in our Irish soda bread recipe. With its creamy texture, it adds a richer, more moist texture to the bread. And the tang of sour cream creates a unique, bright flavor to contrast the richness.


  1. 3 ½ cups Katy’s Kitchen® All Purpose Flour
  2. ½ cup Katy's Kitchen sugar
  3. ½ tsp baking soda
  4. 2 tsp baking powder
  5. 2 TBSP caraway seeds
  6. 1 tsp salt
  7. 16oz Shamrock Farms Sour Cream
  8. 2 large Fair Meadow eggs
  9. ⅔ - 1 cup raisins (depending on preference)


  1. Grease a 9” springform pan
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, caraway seeds, and salt in a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and sour cream in another bowl with hand mixer.
  4. Combine sour cream and flour mixture in a stand mixer.
  5. Fold in raisins, kneading the dough together as you mix.
  6. Place dough in the springform pan and bake for 35-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Cool for 10-15 minutes before removing pan and serving.
