Shamrock Healthcare Customer Named Chef Master

Shamrock Foods recently hosted its second Chef Master Competition with senior living facilities from the  Ensign Bandera group. Each property had participants such as dietary directors, chefs, and executive directors facing off to create a winning entrée as judged by five local judges with healthcare backgrounds. Finalists moved on to a dessert round which revealed the ultimate winner.

The competition featured a variety of ingredients from Markon produce, Katy’s Kitchen spices, Gold Canyon Meat CO. and Shamrock Farms dairy.

The winning team from Surprise Health & Rehabilitation created Surprise Sunrise Tacos- shrimp and steak tacos with made from scratch salsas and Carnival at Surprise- homemade ice cream with freshly prepared fruit compote and hand fried funnel cake.  Additional mouthwatering dishes created included Chicken and Shrimp Panko Bites with Homemade Sauces, Smothered Steak Deliciousness, Steak and Shrimp Pasta with Hatch Sweet Pepper Cheese Sauce, and Thai Beef Pasta.
