Roxie, Shamrock Farms lovable spokescow, is once again searching for chefs who keep it “fresh” in the kitchen with new and tasty dishes, and is now accepting entries for the 2nd Annual Fresh Chef Challenge. This year, the challenge theme is “desserts” and your hometown dairy will be looking for mouth-watering recipes featuring some of its farm-fresh dairy. Recipes will be scored by a panel of judges with the top three finalists participating in a cook off at the Arizona Culinary Institute in September.
As a valued Shamrock Foods customer, be sure to enter Shamrock Farms Fresh Chef “Dessert” Challenge for the chance to win $2,500 and industry bragging rights to the Fresh Chef title.
Recipes may be submitted beginning June 1, 2010 and must be received by July 30, 2010. Please click here for the official Fresh Chef entry form and submit in one of the following ways:

Finding the Cream of the Crop
Once all of the entries have been received, the Challenge will heat up as our special panel of judges begin their work. The winners will be determined by the following process:
• All entries will be judged and narrowed down to three finalists by a qualified internal panel of Shamrock Foods Company associates, i.e. Certified Chef
• The top three finalists will be notified by phone, e-mail or mail on August 20.
• The three finalists (one per region) will compete head-to-head in a cook-off at the Arizona Culinary Institute on September 11. An independent panel of qualified judges will select the winner based on the following judging criteria: Taste (40%), Use of dairy product (30%), Originality/Creativity (30%).
• Finalists must be available to attend the September 11 event. The winner will be announced at the cook off and on the Web site.
