Case in point: Long-time Shamrock customer Nancy Goldsmith of Nancy’s Café in Westminster, CO, recently became ill and was eventually diagnosed with a lifethreatening illness, complicated by pneumonia and an eleven-day hospital stay. Like a lot of small business owners, Nancy didn’t have a massive support system to fall back on (or so she thought), and she had to close the restaurant. Which meant no income for her, and no income for her employees.

(Jerry Runden with Nancy and the crew of Nancy's Cafe.)
Shamrock Foods Sales Representative Jerry Runden wasn’t about to let that situation continue. After Nancy’s third day in the hospital he got the keys to restaurant and opened the doors. For the next eight days he managed the restaurant alongside Nancy’s staff, making sure the regular customers still had a friendly, neighborhood café to call home, and making sure that revenue kept coming in. On top of that, he continued to manage his territory and service his Shamrock customers. Jerry didn’t do it alone, and we’re proud to include Driver Thomas Wayoro and Sales Representative Brett Baczkowski in the list of those Shamrock associates who deserve a Mile High Salute. And thanks, too, to Jerry’s other customers, who made it possible for Jerry to devote so much time to keeping Nancy’s Café thriving.
Where else but at Shamrock can you find this level of personal caring and professional service?
